The neighborhood
The studio sits on West 44th between 7th and 8th Avenues — in the theater district, two blocks south of Times Square proper. It's a five-minute walk from Times Square–42 St (the largest subway hub in the system), a six-minute walk from Bryant Park, and a fifteen-minute walk from either Penn Station or Grand Central. The block is loud at street level, quiet inside the building. Building entry is keycard-controlled from the lobby; we'll buzz you up.
If you've never been to this part of Midtown, expect dense foot traffic — tourists, Broadway crowds, theater-goers. Build five extra minutes into your travel time. Once you're inside the building, the studio is calm.
Getting here
By subway
- Times Square–42 St (1·2·3·7·N·Q·R·W·S) — 5 minutes north on 7th Ave.
- 49 St (N·R·W) — 4 minutes south on 7th Ave.
- 42 St – Port Authority (A·C·E) — 4 minutes east on 42nd St.
- 50 St (1) — 5 minutes south.
By train / bus

By car
Driving into Times Square is not recommended. Parking is expensive and 8th Avenue traffic is unpredictable. If you're driving in, garages on West 43rd and 45th are walkable. Ride-shares can pull up to the building's curb on 44th between 7th and 8th.

Who shoots here
The Times Square studio sees the broadest mix of applicants — US MD and DO applicants from local programs, IMG applicants who flew into LaGuardia or JFK that morning, fellowship applicants finishing residency in the city, and the occasional med school applicant doing AMCAS. Weekend availability skews toward applicants in residency rotations who can't shoot during the week.
