The neighborhood
50 West Street sits at the southern edge of the Financial District — three blocks from Battery Park, three blocks from the World Trade Center site, four blocks from the New York Stock Exchange. The block is calm on weekends and considerably less hectic than Midtown on weekdays after 9 a.m. The building is modern, with secured lobby entry and elevator access to the 10th floor.
FiDi is the right studio if you live in Brooklyn, Battery Park City, Jersey City, or anywhere south of Canal Street. It's also the easier studio to get to from JFK on the A train or by ferry. Most applicants who book FiDi do so because the commute is shorter — or because they want a calmer block than Times Square on a weekend morning.

Who shoots here
Wall Street sees a higher share of Brooklyn-based applicants, applicants commuting in from Jersey, and IMGs who flew in via JFK. Weekend bookings are strong — the block is quiet on Saturday morning, and the studio fills with applicants who couldn't make a weekday slot work around clinic.
